Julie Friedman has a BA and BFA from Kent State University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1991 with an MFA and a concentration in Book Arts. She has exhibited her drawings, prints, paintings and artist books nationally and was awarded an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship in 2003. In 2004 she received a 3 month residency at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA. In addition to her artwork, Julie also teaches drawing, design and printmaking at the college level and is Co- Director of Gallery West at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio.
